Biographical Info

Shivani Daryani is a native New Yorker, who received her Master of Science in Health Sciences for Physician Assistants (MSHS PA) at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Graduate School of Medical Sciences. She previously worked as an inpatient neurology PA at Lenox Hill Hospital, with a primary focus in stroke neurology. In 2021, she joined the neurology department at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College. She is primarily involved with the department's outpatient stroke care initiatives, including 1) The RESCUE TIA Clinic, which focuses on providing rapid, comprehensive outpatient evaluation and management of patients with a recent TIA or minor, non-disabling, stroke; 2) The Transitions of Care Clinic, which ensures that patients discharged from the ER/hospital with stroke/TIA have an opportunity to follow-up within 2 weeks for urgent, standardized care; 3) and all other functions of the outpatient stroke clinic. Shivani is dedicated to building a strong relationship with her patients and promoting the importance of secondary stroke prevention.
